3. Eligibility Criteria

- Be classified as an overseas student for tuition purposes.
- Hold an offer to start a full-time master’s (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham for 2025/2026.

4. Countries Eligible for the Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all African countries, as well as nations such as:
- Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
5. Application Process
Step 1: Apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time master’s (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham for 2025/2026.
Step 2: Once you have an offer, submit your scholarship application through the NottinghamHub portal.
Step 3: For MRes applicants, email the scholarships team at scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for further instructions.
6. Application Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Demonstration of a clear vision and plan for contributing to the development of key sectors (economic, environmental, social, or political) in the applicant’s home country.
- How the course of study at Nottingham aligns with and supports these goals.
- The applicant’s academic merit and reasons for choosing the University of Nottingham.
Ensure that your responses to the application questions are concise and within the word limits provided.
7. Important Considerations
- You must have an offer of admission before applying for the scholarship.
- The offer does not need to be accepted before submitting your scholarship application.
- Scholarship funds will not be paid directly to you but will be deducted from your tuition fees.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with other competitive scholarships from the University of Nottingham.
