1. Objectives of the Scholarship Program
The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship is designed to:
- Promote French higher education internationally by attracting top foreign talent.

- Support international students pursuing advanced studies in key areas such as science, technology, humanities, and social sciences.
2. Fields of Study
The scholarship is available for two major disciplinary categories:
Science and Technology:
- Biology and Health
- Ecological Transition
- Mathematics and Digital Technology
- Engineering Sciences
Humanities and Social Sciences:
- French History, Language, and Civilization
- Law and Political Science
- Economics and Management
3. Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be foreign nationals applying for a master’s or doctoral degree at a French higher education institution.
- Candidates are submitted by French higher education institutions, and direct applications from students are not accepted.
- Applicants should demonstrate excellent academic standing and align with the priority fields covered by the scholarship.
4. Levels of Education Covered
The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship covers students enrolled in:
- Master’s programs (M1 or M2).
- Engineering degrees.
- Doctoral programs, under joint supervision or co-direction between a French and foreign institution.
5. Duration of the Scholarship
Master’s Level:
- Up to 12 months for M2 (second-year master’s).
- Up to 24 months for M1 (first-year master’s).
- Up to 36 months for engineering programs.
Doctoral Level:
- From 12 to 36 months, depending on the research project, starting from September 1st of the award year.
6. Benefits of the Scholarship
Master’s Students:
- Monthly allowance of €1,181.
- Additional benefits: International and national transport, health insurance, housing assistance, cultural activities, etc.
Doctoral Students:
- Monthly allowance of €1,800.
- Additional benefits: International and national transport, health insurance, accommodation support, cultural activities, etc.
Note: Tuition fees are not covered by the scholarship.
7. Application Process
Step 1:
- Reach out to the Espace Campus France in your home country or the French embassy for guidance on your study plans.
- Contact the International Relations department of your chosen French institution to understand their application requirements and deadlines.
Step 2:
- The French institution will submit your application online through the dedicated Campus France portal.
Important Note: Applications directly submitted by students or foreign institutions will be deemed ineligible.

- Institutions must submit scholarship applications within their specified deadlines. It’s essential to contact your preferred institution as early as possible to ensure your application is processed in time.
