1. Program Overview
The EMAI program focuses on developing the internationalization of its partner institutions while offering students a high level of education in AI. It provides opportunities to transition between different AI study programs, recognizing previously obtained knowledge and skills.
2. Application Periods
The EMAI program offers multiple application periods based on candidates’ funding status:
- 1st Period: November 15, 2024 – January 8, 2025 (Erasmus Mundus Scholarships)
- 2nd Period: January 9, 2025 – March 18, 2025 (Tuition Fee Waivers)
- 3rd Period: March 19, 2025 – June 5, 2025 (Worldwide Self-funded Candidates)
- 4th Period: June 6, 2025 – July 6, 2025 (EU Self-funded Candidates)
It is important to adhere to these deadlines based on your funding type, as late applications will not be considered.
3. Recognition of Prior Learning
EMAI recognizes relevant knowledge acquired through formal and informal learning or work experience. This can count toward meeting the entry requirements or completing part of the program. The EMAI Admissions Committee will assess requests for recognition based on a portfolio submitted during the application process.
4. Transitioning Between Study Programs
Students can transition between study programs that offer comparable competencies or learning outcomes. At least half of the credits from the first study program must be transferable to the second program. Students wishing to transfer must also fulfill the enrollment conditions for the EMAI program and their current study program.
5. Selection Procedure
The selection of candidates is a multi-stage process:
- Pre-screening: Applications are checked for administrative validation.
- Pre-selection: Initial evaluation to ensure minimum requirements are met.
- Ranking: Eligible candidates are ranked based on academic excellence, professional experience, and other criteria such as inclusiveness.
- Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed online.
- Final Selection: Students are selected based on rankings and interview outcomes, with additional factors like nationality, gender, and specialization considered.
Selection notifications will be sent by the following dates:
- 1st Period (EMS): Before March 15, 2025
- 2nd Period (Fee-waivers): Before April 24, 2025
- 3rd Period (Non-EU Self-funded): Before July 10, 2025
- 4th Period (EU Self-funded): Before July 31, 2025
6. Appeal Process
Candidates who wish to appeal the selection decision must submit a detailed request within seven days of receiving the official notification. Appeals are not for revising applications but for addressing any perceived inequities in the decision-making process.

7. Use of Personal Data
