The METI Japan Government Internship Program 2024 offers a unique opportunity for foreign professionals to experience working in Japan. This fully funded internship program is open to international students and professionals looking to enhance their skills and gain valuable experience in a Japanese company. Participants can choose between an online or in-person internship based on their preferences and availability.

Collaboration with Japanese Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
Japanese small and medium-sized businesses will host the in-person international internships, while online internships will be conducted remotely by the host company.
The internship duration is 6 weeks for in-person internships in Japan and 4 weeks for online internships. Participants will be matched with companies based on interviews and preferences.
Requirements for Participation
To be eligible for the METI Japan Internship Program, participants must be foreign professionals from developing countries aged between 18-40 years.
Proficiency in Japanese or English language is required, and applicants should not have participated in the program between FY2016 and FY2023.
The application process involves creating an account, filling out an online form, and submitting required documents such as university certificates and a passport.

- University enrollment certification.
- Faculty recommendation letter from the university.
- University graduation diploma.
- Proof of proficiency such as IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, CEFR, JLPT, or similar.
