VI. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Chinese Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Basic Requirements:
- Be in good mental and physical health.
- Be a citizen of a country other than China.
- Comply with Chinese laws and university rules.
- Not hold multiple scholarships simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- For Master’s Degree: Hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
- For Doctoral Degree: Hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
Language Proficiency:
- Chinese-taught programs: HSK level 4 (≥ 210 points) or equivalent.
- English-taught programs:
- TOEFL ≥ 80
- IELTS ≥ 6.0 (with no subtest below 5.5)
